My collection is based on the 1960’s classic children’s picture book, ‘Where the wild things are’ by Maurice Sendak. The concept behind my collection is the surreal journey undergone by a little boy named Max who dons a wolf suit in pursuit of mischief and ends up in the peculiar world of the ‘Wild things’ . My designs are highly influenced by the vivid illustrations of the wild things with their mismatched body parts as well as the disparity between dreams and a child’s imagination.
